Today you will teach: Days/Weather, Email Structure, Past Tenses, & Question Formulation
French calendars start with Lundi (Monday). Note: le weekend is Saturday (samedi) and Sunday (dimanche).
Create a weekly weather calendar using colors. Ex: "Mardi: Nuageux (cloudy), ciel gris (gray sky)"
Always start with "Madame, Monsieur," and end with "Cordialement". Avoid casual greetings.
Prepare an email template about weather conditions. Include past tense: "Hier, il a plu" (Yesterday it rained)
When discussing history, French often uses passé composé: "Napoléon a conquis..." (conquered)
Create 5 sentences mixing both past tenses. Highlight time markers: "Hier" vs "Pendant que"
Use "Est-ce que" for formal questions. Friends might use inversion: "Veux-tu...?"
Design a Q&A exercise with 3 open and 3 yes/no questions. Include answer restructuring examples.
